About Our Program

Ready for the World Academy™ is a licensed, in-home Preschool and Pre-K intentionally designed for personalized teaching and individualized attention, serving families throughout San Francisco, Daly City, and Brisbane. Our program is led by a CA-Credentialed Early Childhood Educator and a Licensed Preschool and Pre-K Teacher, and operates in compliance with California Community Care Licensing (CDSS) requirements.

Our Program Offers

• A low 1:6 teacher-to-child ratio for personalized learning and care
• A thoughtfully designed early learning curriculum inspired by child-centered and relationship-based approaches (including Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and play-based philosophies)
• Outdoor exploration, nature-based learning, and daily movement
• Introduction to sports, movement, coordination, and teamwork through age-appropriate games and physical play
• Early literacy, math, and kindergarten readiness
• Social-emotional development and confidence building
• Daily art and Spanish enrichment
• A warm, nurturing, and emotionally supportive classroom environment

We serve children ages 2–5 and intentionally design our program to support each child’s unique learning style, interests, and pace of development.

Our Approach to Early Learning & Curriculum

We believe young children learn best through hands-on experiences, exploration, play, conversation, and meaningful relationships.

Our Curriculum Supports Children Through

• Language-rich activities that build vocabulary, storytelling, early reading, and communication
• Early math experiences such as counting, sorting, patterning, measuring, and problem solving
• Geography and world awareness, including early map concepts, land and water, continents, cultures, and our place in the world
• Creative expression through art, building, music, and storytelling
• Science and nature exploration through observation, questioning, and outdoor discovery
• Social learning through collaboration, empathy, and self-regulation

We aim to nurture confident, curious, capable learners who feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

Community Exploration & Field Experiences

We believe learning extends beyond the classroom.

Children participate in neighborhood exploration and field experiences such as:

• Visits to local fire departments and community helpers
• Trips to neighborhood libraries
• Regular walks to our nearby park, just two blocks away — Crocker Park — which connects to McLaren Park and offers expansive space for nature exploration, hiking, observing plants, animals, and insects, and developing a sense of connection to the natural world

These experiences help children connect learning to real life and their community.

We work with families who may be eligible for tuition assistance through:

• San Francisco Children’s Council
• 4Cs of San Mateo County
• CDSS / CalWORKs

We are happy to answer questions and provide guidance when needed.

A Note for Families

If your child has specific health or support needs — including Type 1 diabetes — please feel free to share that with us. We are experienced and comfortable supporting children with Type 1 diabetes and are always happy to talk through individual questions or concerns.

Planning Ahead

If you are a family with a child under two years old, we recommend joining our waitlist when your child is around one year old. This allows families to plan ahead and helps us better support future enrollment.
